Here. Maybe someday we won't be dead ****ing last in shooting, but win just because we're a blue collar team

Fun group. Gonna miss a lot of these guys.

Couldn't get a stop when we were widening the lead. Should have blown it out to 15 there. Then they killed us at the line, and had a couple of huge 3's after we couldn't close out possessions. We did everything we could on the glass, but you expected it to be a push on the glass, and it mostly was. Slight edge to UM, but mostly because of the 3's they got out of their offensive rebounds.

Going to miss them as well. On to the next group tho. Wish all of them the best.

Loved watching this team.

Disappointed for our guys, doesn't feel right for all they have done and accomplished over their careers and the excitement they brought to Aggie basketball.

They were as fun to watch as Sloan, Law, Jones era. Maybe more.

Would have loved them to go further, but really proud to call this group Aggies, genuinely great young men top to bottom.

Sucks to have sucky fans and sucky teams.

In watching the other high level teams, it's evident how few complete players we had on or team. Payne and Garcia were really the only ones (and I'm giving Payne a pass on FT, and Garcia the benefit of the doubt on shooting). None of our guards fit that description, although I continued to hope Manny would be that guy. Buzz was constantly having to mix and match, steal minutes for Solo, keep Henry off the court against high level bigs, get Wade out of perimeter defense, keep Carter from shooting, or Hefner or Wilcher from dribbling, or Phelps from shooting too much.

We've never been a basketball school, and are finally making tournaments and it's Still not good enough. At a "football school" that hasn't won a conference title in 26 years.

I was around when we had the longest active streak for making the NCAA tourney, and while still second fiddle to football basketball was hugely popular on campus. Don't pretend like making the tournament is suddenly a new thing for us.

Outside of the run you're referring to, this is the most consistently we've ever made the tournament before or after that. Making the tournament in general isn't necessarily new for us now, but making it three straight years has only ever happened during that previous six year stretch.

The key is to keep consistently making it and eventually the cards will fall our way, even if it isn't necessarily our very best team.

This really was a special group of guys and the way it ended sucked. But over the years with some of these guys has been fun and had some great moments.

Yep

With all the player losses after this season I'm not expecting to make the tournament next season

If we do, that would be a major accomplishment

It was a truly special group. Really feels like their basketball legacy will be diminished because of not making the second weekend. Not a fitting ending, but that's sports.

Agreed - really enjoyed watching this group.

Great group of Aggies, but not fun to watch at all. More like frustrating to watch. Hit a damn free throw. What is our offense? Those things aren't fun to watch.
