Loved this team for the last 4 years!

Again, you put way too much stock in single elimination hoopsSchrute Farms said:AggieCrew44 said:The season was great. The ending was not. The ugly side of single eliminationSchrute Farms said:

My man, this was the best team we've had in years.
They ended the season with zero accolades. No conference title, no double bye, no conference tourney win, and only one NCAA tournament win.
Arkansas just walked into the Sweet 16 with new players and a new coach. It's tough to label this season as great

That's like saying the NFL puts too much stock in good quarterbacks. Single elimination is how NCAA basketball works! It does that at all levels. The good teams find a way to win under that setting, or at least, go farther in the tournament than the 2nd round.
No team I've ever heard that was worth a darn said, "we didn't go very far in the tournament but damn, we beat a couple of number ones during the year..." 1983 NC State, on the other hand, said "we lost a bunch mid to late season but put together a run that is still memorable."
Give me NC State -- or even the cardiac teams that went to the FF with a double digit seed out of nowhere. Your comment is the not only the acceptance but the justification of mediocrity.
If you've been following Aggie hoops for 50 years you probably watch a lot of ****, non-tournament basketballchick79 said:
It was not a great season. For those of you who have been putting up with Aggie athletics for 50 years like I have everything is a disappointment. The baseball team especially is proof we are cursed. Football had yet another November fade. Buzz has still yet to reach a Sweet 16. Given what we pay him that is completely inexcusable. Our ROI is unquestionably the worst in the country. The sooner you realize we suck as an athletic program the happier you're going to be.

It's a top 3 season in our history. We beat the #1 team for the first time ever on senior night. There was plenty of incredible moments. It had a bad ending. Doesn't mean it was a waste

The boys should be proud. Hard to play 5 on 8.

Aggie Basketball is not a priority NiL wise. However, Mens Basketball is The Most Consistent Winning athletic team over the last 4 to 5 years on campus.
Baseball had been great, and are now below .500. If we are so tired of losing in Basketball, we need to Prioritize Basketball.
