Yeah there's absolute no way a 6-seed and Sweet 16 team could play, let alone start, a transfer from a last place ACC team. Say, I dunno, last year's Louisville team. Impossible.

Pop Isaacs of Creighton(and formerly Tech) is in the portal. We made a hard push at him last offseason when he was in the portal then, really hope we could land him here now. Stud guard when healthy.

Central Michigan was 10-21 and 18-14 in the MAC in 2022-23 and 2023-24, hopefully we did not recruit anyone from there!

With coaches departing (or soon to be), I'd focus on Iowa and NM players

I'd find money to get D Dent (I think prob top PG in NCAA for next year...scorer and a distributer). And would definitely look at Stirtz as one of the top shooters in the league (but he prob doesn't fit Buzz's player mold).

FWIW an opinion perspective ...

Unfortunately, tu will make some noise to put players around their PG (whom I think should go pro) as Miller not afraid to pay players (he did prior to NIL at UofA).

That would be awesome, as Payne can't play 40 min per game. Swapping Payne and the Rutgers forward out (and occasionally playing them together) would be an impressive frontcourt - not to mention Solo and McDermott.

Focusing on Iowa and New Mexico you'll be directly
Competing with McCollum and Rich Petino for the potential transfers . I wouldn't say that's impossible but a pretty steep hill to climb.

Good players ( that are a fit for our needs and culture) on bad teams or good players buried on the depth chart on good teams would be where I'd be concentrating .

Do you have any insight into why Buzz chooses to reach out to one player versus another?

Is it not safe to assume that Buzz would look to reach out to the kids that are maybe thinking they would like to come back to Texas and be closer to home/family?
