Police say the victim told them the following injuries were from Beard's assault that night:
- bite mark on right forearm (with visible teeth marks and redness)
- abrasion to right eyebrow/temple area
- abrasion/scrape to left leg
- cut to left thumb
Beard was arrested and charged with assault by strangulation/suffocation, which is a third degree felony.

Its actually sad to see so many people want to hire a guy that beats up women. I mean if he had recruiting violations, paid players, or had a drug problem that's forgivable... but assault. Come on...
Someone else also made a good point. If you hire Beard and he does well, tu will come calling for him and he'll go back to his alma mater.
There's enough good coaches out there that we don't need to hire a guy who tries to choke out women. I'm embarrassed for the people who want that POS. I was way high up on the list of the anti-Buzz crowd, but I'd take him back in a heartbeat over Beard.
And I respect that opinion. I wasn't anti-Buzz, although I had a feeling he was leaving. We have to partition winning and this thought of being nice guy.
College sports is filthy. You want to keep getting rolled by tu, Bama, etc. because of an internal compass aimed at a guy we literally have no personal relationship with? I held my nose and voted for Donald Trump three times. I can hold my nose again if Beard is indeed the guy.
Large gap between "highest moral compass" and "abused women". Quite frankly I'm disgusted with my Alma mater right nowMattr1015 said:
I'm so sick of the ******* that have to have the highest moral compass that we hire people. You're literally the reason that we're stuck in this mediocrity loop.

Cancel culture is a dangerous thing... The charges were dropped and we don't know the entire story. Did the woman start beating him with a baseball bat while he was on the ground and he grabbed her neck to push her off so she reported that when the police showed up? Again... We don't know the entire story and the charges were dropped.HoustonAggie427 said:

Without the true facts of the situation….all of them, plus context….you really can't take a rock solid stance either way.
The rest is just speculation.
The sensitivity of it won't be lost on our brass.
And if we actually hire him, that would mean we vetted the situation and came away with information that pacified the decision makers.
For me, that'll be good enough to get on board with it.

Not hiring someone accused of felony assault of his wife is NOT why we are stuck in mediocrity. Just flat stupid

Fair enough. I can respect that. I will add there is an opportunity to push tu's dicks in here, too. So far, they've had the upper hand. Perhaps this would be a good opportunity to flip the script.
I actually think this is a big motivator. We will see if it comes to fruition. If not, you get your wish and we move on to another candidate.
Hadn't thought about it like that. Sounds like how we would hire. Not really caring about winning but just to stick it to tu.NyAggie said:scd88 said:Texas A&M said:Again, there's enough good ones out there that we don't need someone like him. Yep
No doubt about it our bma's are fully motivated to get beard as a type of payback for Schloss

Staff - if we are hiring Beard- delete this sh*t.
She took back the accusations. He never was convicted of anything. I don't want to live in a country where accusations (that are taken back later) are enough to blackball a person for the rest of their career.
He's the coach at Ole Miss right now. He's not being blackballed at all. Being uncomfortable with potentially hiring him as our coach isn't saying you think he should never work again anywhere.Aston04 said:

If the people who are virtue signaling were really serious, they already moved out of the US by now. And surprised that they are still Aggies since we didn't get rid of Sully.Mr.Milkshake said:
If we get lucky enough to get this guy, hopefully the blue hairs that are promising to move to Canada do so and never come back to the program.
