Beard has 100% shown interest or you wouldn't have seen any smoke. And until the news is out that Beard says he is staying at Ole Miss and you see smoke of A&M going after other targets…then they are still in communication with him trying to land him. Doesn't mean we will because will depend on how hard Ole Miss is trying to keep him.

This shouldn't last very long because relatively soon A&M will have to move on to a different target and Beard will need to reassure Ole Miss he is staying. The clock is ticking.

I don't know if Beard comes here or if we even try to get him. But I do want to comment to those people who think a "total rebuild" scares any coach. We are in a new age of portals and NIL. EVERY year is a total rebuild. Those coaches afraid of this will not be successful. We don't want them. Get used to this new reality.

I'm not saying it hasn't been done. But its very difficult to nearly retool an entire roster from the portal in one year. Portal is really useful in adding a couple pieces, not an entire roster. Ags will be lucky to even make the NIT next year
