Does Vegas just make a KILLING on these kind of bets?

Unlike other sports bets where their win margin is closer to 50/50, there are SO many betting options and every bet makes money for Vegas except one.

Moser seems to be the epitome of a journeyman coach. An incredibly mediocre record throughout his career, with the exception of one Cinderella year.

Kind of surprised that Lutz isn't mentioned on the betting line.

Maybe TJ can coach our mens team and his wife can coach our women's team....LOL

I look at that list and wonder how many people could name where even half of these guys coach currently or last.

I'll die on the Jans hill and I'm ok with that. Was my #1 realistic candidate two weeks ago and still my #1 realistic candidate. I am not sure we could get him if we wanted though.

i think alan huss could be a real sleeper.

I would think the number of people throwing $$$ on this bet is incredibly miniscule.

Jans looks like he might be looches dad.

* Affiliated (either publicly or privately) news site produces quick and dirty list of coach odds.

* Site gives it to affiliated sportsbook to post. Bet has low limits so minimal risk.

* Affiliated news site then posts boilerplate article about "Sportsbook XYZ just posted odds on the new ____ coach!", typically with a referral link to the sportsbook so they get credit.


The news site is just shilling for the sportsbook with "odds" they produced themselves. It's just a deceptive advertising deal.

Can somebody explain to me the Jans love? I honestly see him as another version of Buzz. I've never truly been a fan of his teams. Again not saying anybody is an idiot just don't get what the love is for.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if the original odds came from a Chat GPT query. No time or research is put into these things.

I think the idea is that he's a proven, competent coach that as at least decent with X's and O's and has shown to be competitive in the SEC over a decent sample size.

I imagine the thought process is that Miss State is likely behind us in resources/funding, so that pair Jans with a bit more $$$ and you've got a solid team.

I don't think anyone thinks Jans is a guy that could/would take us to that elite level though.

If this was about great people and right culture for TAMU... then I'd be all about Scott Cross.

Wish he'd been more successful at Troy than he has been.

Unreal how often Vegas is right. After all, sports in America is about big $$$ betting.

this is my pick. high point had losing records before he took over. he has been there two seasons and they have won 56 games. it is not sexy but i think he is a really good coach. would allow for more nil money as well so we could potentially keep payne and solo. and make some quality additions.
