I don't disagree with the sentiment in general but it works best with coaches moving to a desirable landing spot.

Texas has four players from last year's squad sticking with the program transition, but obviously they weren't going to follow Terry.

This is going to be such a weird transition year. A hodgepodge of guys with 1 year of eligibility. Hired guns to get through this season.

I don't think we've ever had a season setup to be this intriguing. I mean, we're just a few days removed from the championship game and the ride has already started.

can't be too many 1 year guys or we'll be doing the same roster rebuild from scratch again. Need a good mix if possible

Oh for sure, but moving forward we'll have the luxury of being able to recruit and future plan. This year, it's transfer portal or bust. And that portal has already been picked over.

I'll buy that, that's a believable story.

Tell you what, I'll buy something even better. Bucky is on to bigger and better players and didn't have a spot for Brownell. That's a story and I'm sticking to it.

We have like 13 roster spots open (depending on the roster limits or whatever if that gets approved) we better have all kinds of things lined up.

To me all it says is he got paid a good amount by USC and would rather go to a team that's probably going to be pretty good next year than one that's starting from the ground floor.

I'm not freaking out but as I just assumed that Brownell would be coming here. You know what they say about people who assume…

That one kind of stings but we have 10-11 spots at least needed still. Just have to keep waiting and go on to the next guy.
