Auburn was 24.5 point favorite

Auburn guy here. Seriously conflicted on how the whole thing went down. Bruce brought the program up from the ashes and to a degree has earned a ton of deference. It was well known he wanted son to be next coach. But if you're trying to maintain the level of success, as an AD, Steven Pearl is not the guy you would hire. I hope he can be successful but I have many doubts. Didn't watch the game against BC because I was watching Bucky Ball. Don't know if I have the appetite to catch a replay.

One of my most steadfast takes is handing a program over to the last coach's kid should be outright illegal at a public school.

That law would be on the books if Saban had coached at Auburn and had a son.

If naming Steven Pearl is the price to pay for 6 years of championship-level hoops, I think most Auburn fans take that deal.
