Agee. 10 points, 10 rebounds, 2 clutch FTs. No TOs and only took two 3s (missed both).

Some of our guards are Dawgs that just need some space to work. Hopefully as we figure things out and Mgbako works in we'll start finding it more.

I don't like Agee as Dawg of this game because his defense was killing us at times.

Vinson needs more minutes but catching passes for open dunks is not really dawg material. That's not a dog on him. I like him.

I might disband this thing. Not much dawg activity.

It looks like we may need a "PACK OF DAWGS", to close out a game.

Gotta earn Dawg status. Maybe by conference play.

I'd go Dominguez. He didn't shoot a ton, but he consistently was making the right pass or dribbling to a space to open up someone.

Honorable mention would be Clemence. He made the most of his minutes, hit a few 3s and was aggressive going to the basket and finishing.

We need our slashers to start taking some of the punishment and either finishing or drawing enough contact to get freebies. Lots of dumb turnovers and half ass shots in the paint that can change the trajectory of this season if we can get our efficiency up in that space. Props to Rylan for being that presence tonight.

I guess the bar is that low method man.

Say what you want about Buzz ball, and there is plenty to say, but it did produce dawg performances. I don't think Bucky Ball is conducive to generating dawg shows.

Same. I was watching last night saying "Money Williams is the DAWG of this game."

This was the big concern all summer is whether we went from too much Dawg to too little. You need the right amount of Dawg.

The original premise is you need either really skilled players or dawgs. At the time we had neither but eventually had a team of guys who could be dawgs. We really only have a couple who have that potential on this team.

What's everyone's opinion of Pop? I find myself observing that we seem to play better without him in the game. Thoughts?

I think we're in a tough spot with Isaacs right now. He's absolutely killing us at times, the ball stops with him on the floor, he fouls way too much because of bad defensive fundamentals, etc. With no external factors considered I'd say his minutes need to be cut way down.

But there are a lot of external factors. If we're going to make it to the tournament, he's probably going to be a big part of it, so we need him to find it. He just recently started practicing, it's a new system, he wasn't playing competitive basketball for a whole year so expecting him to be good in a few weeks is unrealistic.

So we're just going to have to let him struggle through it, hope it doesn't cost us a game or two in the process, and see where we're at in a few weeks.

Maybe not a dawg but I thought we were a lot better offensively when Griffen was an active part of the half court offense .

For those with advanced metrics , what is Griffen's avg per game +/- for year and for MT game?

I've been saying this the whole time. I am not a fan, I know he was injured for 11 months, but I don't need to keep beating a dead horse. He can maybe get hot from 3 but doesn't offer much else for what this team needs and is, to me, the worst perimeter guard defender we have

Yea it just looks like more than rust to me. He wants to play 1 on 1 ball and Buckys O requires passing and sharing the ball. And he's got no clue how to defend.
