This is maybe a little picky but I felt like there was a decent stretch where we weren't getting him the ball. Some of that may have been him just camping in one spot. We need him to be as mobile as possible. He's a liability on defense so if he's not contributing on offense, it's gonna hurt us. He's come a long way in a short time though. I realize maybe I'm being a little dramatic lol

Pitt put a tall guy on him that stuck to him like stink on sh-t. Yes, Coach has to get more movement and shooting opportunities.
High ball screens work pretty well.
He has a hard time getting his shot off when someone is face guarding him.
They need to run him off a floppy action
I think you're going to see more concerted efforts as we move on and get used to each other.
He doesn't have to shoot 3s necessarily. He did a great job cutting and getting that open layup. He's just needs to not be a bump on a log standing in one place. The periods where we go dry are when we start spectating.

this is where his game can be expanded, teams are going to be playing him tight every single play. If we can run some off ball screen or have him cutting, teams will give him the lane! He's gonna keep some defensive coaches up at nightTheDecadeSapling said:

There's gonna be a sec game somewhere that he goes supernova and does something like 18/25 from three.

Yeah, playing off of Dominguez is just going to take time. We did some of it, but we need to run actions toward his side of the court because his defender can't leave so that should open things up around the basket if our guards can penetrate.
I thought we did okay on that last night except for a stretch of the second half.
One thing though that we're pretty susceptible to is when the refs don't call holding off of picks and screens. We have a really hard time doing anything when they're not calling that and there was a stretch of the second half last night where Pitt was basically grabbing and holding off of every action we ran.
I think at this point we can safely say that we're good at pretty basketball, we need to get better at ugly basketball, but we've come a long way in a few weeks.

Considering Buzz didn't know jack sh&t about getting any player open, any game, over an entire season- trying to find out how to get a player "more" open looks isn't such a bad thing relatively speaking.
Just one point of clarification- even if Ruben isn't scoring, he's spacing the floor a bunch. His guy can't ever help on defense. That is huge.

We need Dominguez to go to the Steph Curry school of acting to get more calls.
He's going to be held more and more.
