The use of the media timeouts was a bit strange. I think in one series there was a team timeout followed by a media timeout followed by another team timeout. Like 7 minutes worth.
Also, the refs decided to review a non-goal tending call on A&M ( it wasn't even close) and then decided to go ahead and do the next media timeout.
Nothing you can do about these. Gotta get paid!
This one was by rule since they stopped the platy for a review at 4:06 in the first half, they went ahead and took the under four media timeout rather than have a lengthy review and then immediately have another under four media timeout. That one was intentional and a good call by the officials.
The other one is something I don't really understand. At 15:22 Dominguez hit that transition 3 to make it a 7 point game and LSU called a timeout. Okay so LSU calls a 30 second timeout, but it extends to a full timeout for the under 16 media, I understand that. But then, like you said, the ball got put back in play and then there was a dead ball at 14:52 which then triggered a second media timeout just 30 seconds later.
Did the SEC add a floating media timeout to the second half for ad revenue or something?
