I don't hate the idea of it just to mix it up, but like anything, the yell leaders have to start it. We already have a student body trained to watch and relay instructions from just five people, it's incredible we can't put that to better use in Reed but it involves a little creativity and coordination.

Did everyone enjoy the Miami Indiana game the other night? The DJ existed but was just in the background. It was like that for the semifinal bowl games as well.

I would think a neutral venue where there is no local tradition would be more inviting to noise making.

We are on the top of the list of the most obnoxious DJ in football and in basketball and it's not close.

The DJ rocks Reed. The students love it. The players love it. Because of those two things, the big donors are OK with it.

Do the students really love it? Some posters were saying that it shut them up more than it pumped them up. Which would be true in 100% of all venues ever.

I can handle the DJ. He just needs to be in the background, not up front.

I don't sense you have a lot of comparison data, you just personally dont like the loud music at your aggie games. Which is a valid opinion, false comparisons not needed.

Totally agree.. We sit right below Monaco's new radio box location and it's ear splitting. Feels like the speakers are pointed directly at us. I bring noise cancelling earbuds now just to make it bearable.

Ok. I mean I can hear it on TV.

In the last few years I have probably been to 50-60 games outside of CS in both college and pro. That includes games in Nashville, Omaha, Seattle, LA, Dallas, Houston, Vegas, Chicago…. Football Basketball Baseball, everything from college games to exhibition games to World Series and NBA playoff games.

The only place that I have seen a more obnoxious DJ is Ole Miss. but according to my Ole Miss friend they have scaled it back a bit

You know who we sound like? Baylor. Baylor football games are unbearable. TCU too though they have also toned it down a bit recently. I haven't been to the new Baylor arena yet but a, not really looking for to it considering how bad their football experience is. But we are about like that.
