Huge game in the league so figured I'd give it its own thread.

Biggest game for the Commodores in a hot minute and an early edge for the regular season title. Vandy is favored by 4.5, and Alabama is likely only going to be underdogs in two more games this season (at Florida, at Tennessee).

This is the only time these two play, and they both play Tennessee twice. (Tennessee also plays Kentucky twice which is kind of a bad break for them, Vandy also plays Kentucky twice.)

Per Torvik, Vandy is favored the rest of the way except currently his model gives a slight edge to Tennessee on the last game of the year.

But Alabama is, by quite a bit, the best team Vandy has played this year. The only other top 50 team they've faced is SMU. By comparison, Alabama has already faced FOUR top ten teams (Purdue (L), Illinois (W), Gonzaga (L), Arizona (L)) They also beat Clemson and St. John's, both currently in the top 25.

I'm excited for this one! Bama will be without their starting big man, but I want to see how Vandy plays against an explosive fast physical team.

Feels like a "back to earth" game for Vandy, I think Bama wins relatively easily. They are so tough to match up with length-wise.

I'm glad we only play them once.

I'm actually less worried about Alabama than I am a team like Tennessee or Florida that's just going to push us around.

Generally I don't like when you play a team that plays like you but is better at it, but at least with Alabama it's basically going to be a fast paced three point contest and we'll see how the chips fall.

I'm also glad we play Tenn, Fla, and Vandy only once each as well.

I guess I prefer the stylistic mash up of going against a bigger, perhaps plodding team vs playing a similar style team but they have more length and athleticism than we do.
