OU is a bubble team and Auburn is in the tourney right now. Those are good teams and excellent wins. We haven't played the best teams in conference yet, but there really aren't many dominant teams in the SEC this season.

Doesn't make the 3-0 start any less impressive. All conference wins are great wins

The basketball was very hard to watch and Buzz underachieved big time. He left so much meat on the bone to appease his very narrow view of basketball.

Auburn is favored at home tonight against number 15 Arkansas. If they get that win it's highly unlikely they miss the tournament. It would take a really really bad stretch of basketball. They've yet to lose to a non tournament bound team

I saw things I didn't like today, but they had nothing to do with coaching.

One more time...man, that pass that Agee made out of the double team to Dominguez was a thing of beauty.

We likely get our doors blown off Tuesday at UT, but it doesn't change my view of where this program is headed.

Tenn just got their doors blown off by UF. No one in this conference is elite right now. Just a bunch of quality teams

Its gotten absurd. I get it. He's not our coach so whatever and he's low hanging fruit. It's just a bit mind boggling that he gets talked about here like he's Melvin Watkins. We made the tourney three years in a row, with two sec championship appearances and people think actually think we put out a "garbage product". Its wild

What Bucky has done is incredible. He's shown me enough to think he'll do great things moving forward. We just don't have to lie about the past

Buzz was fine, but he was arguably the worst A&M MBB coach of the last 20 years. He has the lowest NCAA tournament wins per season of any of our past coaches.
Yeah they had an incredibly high floor, but he put a self imposed brick ceiling on the program.

So glad to be 3-0! This team is starting to have fun and more importantly they're playing all out for one another and for Texas A&M! They're still so much more room to grow in this style of play and I'm excited! Just gotta keep pushing and keep fighting for wins! We got this!

I think folks just didn't like to win "ugly" and the fact that we couldn't get past the first weekend of the tourney. I honestly don't have much ill will toward Buzz, he seemed to just be doing what Buzz does all along. What I am glad about is that we have seemingly aced the follow up hire. I'm glad we don't have to worry about losing any momentum we had on making the tourney three straight years. We could still miss it of course, but at this point I don't think the first year could be considered an embarrassment either way.

Looking ahead, when I watch my other alma mater, UNC, the Tar Heels have no idea what they want to do on offense. They are just unwatchable at times. Bucky is going to be mentioned for Blue Blood jobs much sooner than any of us would like. Sorry to have to be the bearer of this news.

Jacari lane has been the biggest surprise for me. I was worried his lack of size wouldn't translate to the higher level but he's been a very steady point guard even when he doesn't score much

Last point on Buzz, but the reason I quickly developed a good bit of disdain for him was how he handled his exit. He deliberately sabotaged the roster to put us in the worst possible situation when he knew he was going to leave. He quit trying in recruiting and even told players and recruits committed to A&M he was leaving before he even took the Maryland job. If he stuck around for another year we would've been a bottom feeder in the conference. It took an insane run in the portal by Bucky just to make the team competitive. Bucky demonstrated how hard a coach should work to acquire talent that Buzz clearly didn't care about.

And now since Maryland is an absolute disaster, his 6 years and leave shtick is likely up if they aren't great next season.

Kennedy was the worst in that timespan, and it's not debatable. He had 2 good teams in 8 seasons. Gillespie was inarguably the best. The debate is between Turgeon and Buzz. I thought Buzz was a better coach. Turge's teams got more boring every year; Buzz's got better.

I'm one of those that don't miss the winning ugly. But mainly bc it did not translate to ever getting to the sweet 16.
