For sec coaches to figure out buckyball? I think it will always be tough to prepare for, but I wonder if it's kind of like playing against triple option in football: it's tough because you just never see it anymore.

The full court press/trap thing doesn't scale. Everything else is the "mathematical solution" to the game.

They won't (can't) figure him out. Bucky is both cutting edge AND ambitious. I think the end of Buckyball will be in the NBA. He's an NBA coach building towards that endgame. Let's see how far he can take this thing.

ONE CAVEAT: rule changes. There's a quiet push to "bring back the mid range". If this happens and the NBA does something about the 3 pointers, the trickle down is inevitable and then all bets are off.

I loved the concept from the beginning. It's how I pretty much always played basketball IRL and on 2K. I do think the smaller guards like Jacari should be allowed/coached to be efficient just shy of the paint since they are not as likely to be as efficient at the rim. Sometimes that shot is better than resetting the offense with <10 seconds to go on the shot clock.

Don't think there's much to "figure out" as far as matching up. OU outshot us in 3's, outrebounded us, matched us in assists.

Buckyball is about relentless effort. As long as he he has "his" kind if guys, and they buy in to it to outwork the opponents (also including conditioning) then you'll have the upper hand against most assuming decent physical matchup.

thats how you know how good he is- the players are all buying in.

TN is going to be bery tough as we dont have the front line depth.

They would need to be in shape for it and almost nobody is.

Full court Press defense frustrates every team.

We just have to have the stamina to do a whole season of it

Takes players willing to play all out when its their turn
Playing together as a team and being on the team for more than one year is the next level for Bucky ball to move from the low middle teir to a top 1/3 level team

Its not about figuring it out its basketball.
The one thing that happened in our 3 losses we turned the ball over 16, 14, and 16 and even then we should have won two of them (UCF, SMU).

That goes then to OkSt we were awful in every aspect in our first true road game.

This team learns from everything that they experience and go against.
Easiest way to beat us is to make shots and not turn it over and so far its been hard to do.
