I doubt whether Maryland can afford to fire him, you love to see this question being asked tho

I was reading some of Maryland's bball boards last night and the general consensus is they are giving him a mulligan this year because he needs to get his guys in the program and he took the job too late to get any difference makers from the portal.
One guy pointed out that A&M hired their head coach after Buzz and we are 12-3. But pretty much everyone ignored him. They are all ingesting the copium in large amounts at this point.
They all agree their offense is terrible to watch but the team tries hard. They are terrible at shooting 3's and have no offensive identity.
Pretty much everything we saw here except the shine may be off of Buzz for good since he hasn't made the second round in the tournament in over ten years.
On a side note I met a guy who worked in the athletic department under Buzz and he said he can finally fully root for our basketball team because Buzz is a terrible person. His schtick about respect and self improvement is all smoke and mirrors. That he is a very weird dude and treats most people like crap.
So glad we have Bucky as our head coach now!

I always liked buzz for the most part when he was here... probably bc I liked our teams & their toughness
Watching a Maryland presser though after watching a Bucky team for 15 games makes me think I may hate buzz... lol
Dude is a total bozo

They can't, they signed him to a fully guaranteed six year contract. They hired him without an AD and he was the biggest name and thought to be the safest hire at the time.

From a fans perspective, Bucky ball is so much more entertaining. Tip of the hat to Trev for bringing in a fan friendly coach and brand of basketball. I really think our fans can look forward to great basketball for the first time since 2007, and I mean that with respect to the coaches and players who played since then.
not only that, but he was too lazy to max out last year's team via the portal... Cost us big time in the tourney .. Bucky shows what you can get with some work ethic recruiting the portal with a&m's resources.txag72 said:
Ah man, I hate to see all these takes on Buzz. But, man, did he leave the cupboard bare.

Besides being loyal, what did Solo think playing another year under Buzz was/is going to do for his basketball future. You spent 3 years under a staff and didn't improve really any part of your game, you lack any offensive fundamentals, you still foul people like crazy. What would another year in the same exact system for a team that's rebuilding do you. Not saying he should've stayed, but why not go play for a contender or someone that's willing to help you improve offensively.

Buzz last year here has a senior laden team and wins one tournament game.
Jaime this year in volleyball has senior laden team and wins the whole darn thing.
Buzz only winning one tournament game last season was extremely telling with his limitations as a coach.
