Crunch time last night Isaacs contributed to allowing Tenn offensive rebound on free throw, he had the ball stolen from behind on a breakaway, and he missed a free throw that would have put us up 3 with 15 seconds left.

He did also have a big steal after Lane made a turnover.

I agree Isaacs isn't ideal I'm just pointing out that it's not like we haven't tried other people.

Like when we almost blew the lead late to Auburn it was Lane that had a catastrophic turnover.

Those two just need to be better with the ball in their hands at the ends of games. I don't know how you coach around that.

Isaacs getting the ball stolen late, might have been a little of lack of communication from teammates alerting him man on. I still think you have to assume that's the case, but he turned around quickly and barked at his teammates. Could just be Isaacs (he has that about him) or the comms were bad.

That said, we have a keystone cop team for the most part. It's amazing that we are running this system with such a lack of ideal players in the system...and we are getting monster success. the fact we are talking about that game last night being a double OT game is incredible. Tennessee is the worst (you could argue Florida is worse) matchup of the year. And that group of guys had them close that entire time. I was pissed we lost last night bc we lost a great opp on a Quad 1 win, but man losing in 5 points on the road to a ranked team with that size advantage is telling of the guys buy in and the levers Bucky is pulling.

I think it's impressive how scrappy this group is. Between the style of play and who we signed I'll admit I expected us to be pretty soft, but we're anything but. Physically limited, for sure, but not soft.

We're also a pretty great road team. That is more mentality than anything. I know its coach speak, but I really believe it when I hear Bucky say he and the team really expect to win these games. The mindset that we dont care about disadvantages and hype, just play ball and don't break down mentally is a sign of great coaching. And, you are right, these dudes are tough.
