What have y'all got? If you've been to Reed this year you know the place has some juice, but we're lacking in the unique chants/yells department. Let's hear some ideas and someone will route them to the right place I'm sure.
1) We need more variety on opponent free throws. I haven't seen us to the sit down jump up scare thing in a while, or the thing where the students bunch up on one side and then run to the other while he's shooting.
2) Our style of play lends itself to some new ideas. We need something for back court turnovers. 5 second calls, 10 second calls, etc. I don't have a great idea for this but we need something that we become known for saying. Like "Too-slow" (in the same cadence that chant "stu-pid, stu-pid".) Even just chanting "bu-cky-ball" or something.
3) Something for three pointers. We used to do that one-two-three and everyone would stomp, which was fine, but there should be a thing we do every time we hit a three that gets the students jumping and going crazy because then that makes the full court press that's about to come even more effective. Whatever that thing is, it doesn't stop until the opponent crosses the half court stripe.
What else we got. No bad ideas. The easier to implement the better. Remember, the yell leaders are an asset to be utilized, not a hindrance to be cast aside. We have a student body trained to look at these dudes and initiate chants/yells based on their hand signals, that's a massive opportunity that nobody else has.
