At the time of the post it was true, but since Alabama lost to Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee are all now tied for 8th place.
It was never true. It was only true in the random ass ways some software displays the standings. Auburn started the day tied for 7th.

It is really not that hard to see that the games today affected the standings.
Alabama was 3-2 - .600 went to 3-3 .500
Auburn was 3-3 - .500 went to 4-3 .571
So yes, right now Auburn is in a 4-way tie for 5th place. And they are the only team in the top 8 we have played (which we won).

We beat Auburn at their place and they just went to Florida and beat them. We beat tu at their place and they went to Alabama and Georgia and beat them.
Keep trying to discount our season all you want. Obviously we'll lose some games, but if you're going out of your way to diminish what we've accomplished this year, then that's just solely on you.
Enjoy it. This is fun, these are fun times. Don't be that one guy who couldn't enjoy the run because you're just waiting to lose. This is Bucky Ball, we play all out, we play hard, we play intense, we celebrate and cheer all out and intense!

Wow, you guys have very thin skin and missing the point. I am not diminishing our season, I am tapping the brakes a little bit and trying to be realistic about things. I probably thought we would be 1-6 at this time instead of 6-1. Bucky Ball has been amazing. And very excited about it.
At the same time, I am trying to be very realistic about the fact we have not played the top teams in conference so the record might not be the same if we did play those teams. There are people creating threads *****ing about how we are not ranked even though we are in first place. Just trying to explain the reason why is that we still have not beaten a ranked team.
I probably a little surprised that some voters have not jumped on our bandwagon and turned us into a story to attract attention about the amazing turn around after losing our coach late in the cycle. But at the same time, we have had a very favorable schedule and understand that some voters may not trust the record verse the schedule we have had. I am managing my expectations and trying to be unbiased.
But I am very excited about this team. Even if we go 2-3 in the next five games, which is very reasonable to me, I am very excited about this team and even more excited about the coach. But there are several people that already want to pay Bucky more than Buzz and that sounds like the talk that got us into contract issues in the past. I just think it is wise to finish the conference season before claiming Bucky needs a major raise to be paid as an elite.

You play the schedule you're given. What's the point of coming here to make this statement, if not just to be negative about something?
We are somewhere around the 4th to 9th best team. Yes the schedule is part of why we are first, but the fact remains we ARE in first. We also didnt barely beat the last two bottom feeder, we clowned on 'em
