I always liked Buzz and he was in undoubtedly a successful coach for us. His departure was rough and a bit desperate after his master plan for a deep run in the postseason with all old players failed.

I thought he was a very poor fit at Maryland and that is being borne out early.

Knowing him so well I have amused myself with watching his post game pressers often. The phraseology and tactics (we need hit more free throws than our opponent attempts to have a chance. We need to be fouled at a high rate) would not register with spoiled entitled Maryland fans and press.

I do wish him well but it is evident he thinks he has things all figured out. When genius fails everyone notices.

The desire to start thread after thread to rip on him could be quite a psych study.

I liked Buzz, so it is ironic how I get a little glee out of his win-challenge at Maryland.

Plus the whole IV banner hanging left a bad taste in my mouth. Not because IV didn't deserve it, but because I think Buzz already knew he was leaving, and I think those sort of banner hanging accolades happen a few years later.

Also, in retrospect Buzz seems passive-egotistical.
