Worry about our NET ranking and our Quad 1 game record. That will be the true determining factor on our success and seeding. The AP poll in basketball is even more worthless than the football one.

New people don't know when something is newsworthy until Matt Drudge breaks it.
The AP poll is completely irrelevant for basketball, in fact we should bring back "don't rank us"

Did you learn anything? Apparently not. The lack of respect in the polls pushed us from the 6 seed to 7. That meant our road was significantly harder and we played Miami in the first round instead of the third. Rankings matter
We're also probably the only one that either hasn't beaten a ranked team or wasn't ranked to start the season.

The AP poll in basketball is meaningless. Football and even baseball have a much more meaningful reward for being in the top 8. It just doesn't matter.
That said, we've made a climb in conference play from #47 in kenpom to #31. This run has been awesome. We deserve some looks in the top 25. Our NC resume was pretty dang bad so it's taken this start to get us in that convo. Enjoy it!

You are speaking about the CFP polls which are in no way related to the AP poll. The only rankings that will matter will be the NET rankings. Just like the CFP poll the committee uses their own criteria to rank teams.
JUST KEEP WINNING. PERIOD. Rest will take care of itself come March.
When does the new one come out? They don't update it everyday.

If it stays this way "a few more weeks", that means the next few weeks went poorly. So no, you should not want that
Our remaining schedule is tough and gives us sufficient opportunities to be recognized. I will say that even the SEC network weekend review program tends spend a lot more time and juice talking about Tennessee, Florida, Bama, Kentucky and Vandy.
Maybe it is because we started the season unranked and went 2-3 against P4 schools in non conference play. The two wins are against teams currently below .500. Not everything is a grand conspiracy against the Ags.
By the way, we received votes in last weeks poll and will most likely have more when tomorrow's poll is released.

It's getting closer but I still wouldn't have us ranked yet. Our metrics aren't top 25 worthy yet but it's getting close.

We are also the only top three team in there conference ranked 40th or lower in Net Ranking and outside the top 30 in KenPom. Are those also stupid and biased against us?
I like the direction of the team but frankly, we lack signature wins to date and have a couple of bad losses. If we take care of business over the next 5 games, we will move way up in the rankings.
Being ranked helps in recruiting. HTH

In the off chance you're asking why instead of just complaining, this is why. These are our SEC wins so far.
It looks a lot better though if you move Auburn up to the 5th slot.
Also none of the teams at 5-2 or better have played each other yet. So we all only have wins against the teams that are 4-3 or worse.

Indiana is 0-6 Quad 1 and five spots ahead of us in NET. If only our football team took care of business like they did, we would be ranked higher in basketball.
Point being none of the ranking systems are all that good yet. Doesn't really shake out for another 2-3 weeks.
