Good work. I'm probably taking this too far but I found this interview with former A&M football player Boone Niederhofer on the football board. He apparently just made the US Olympic bobsled team. Such a fun interview. His appearance then and "unassuming" attitude reminded me of Bucky. Although from recent photos, Boone has definitely put on some muscle since his college days. Time for me to take a break!

Man, I just appreciate how engaged he is with the fans, especially the students. He understands he's building something here and has to engage the community. Reminds me of Gary Blair in that regard.

He's out at events and doing fun stuff on social media. And he seems like he's pleased to be there! Buzz would never.

Bucky exudes confidence and it has carried over to his team!
They all talk about getting better at what they do, and not worrying about
what the other team does.

Indeed, there may be a physical resemblance between Bucky and Mike Vining. The word "unassuming" also comes to mind.

That one's kinda got a little too much of a Dahmer vibe....

1) I like the fact our coaches don't wear suits and ties. I never understood that. Calipari and his staff look like funeral home directors with their expensive suits and ties.

That's an odd thing that comes to mind when you see a guy in a suit. Especially considering it was the standard coaching attire for decades. Suit and tie will always be a better look than a coach in athleisure. Not that it actually matters.
Feels weird as a player to be taking orders from your coach who is suddenly wearing a suit after NEVER wearing a suit in practice.

Players don't wear game jerseys in practice. I think it's weird to care too much about this one way or the other, but if coaches want to wear suits as a sign of respect to the game or because that's what their coaches wear, I like it.

I don't particularly care for coaches who wear suits just as a prop for when they get mad and they start throwing their jackets or whatever.

My only complaint and I am sure he is right with his decisions but he does the same thing that Buzz did. A player hits two threes on back to back possessions then subbed out at the next opportunity. If someone is hot, feed them until they are not.

The counter to this would be that by keeping guys fresh you keep their shooting form from starting to break down if they get a little winded.

This always throws me off too but so many coaches do it that there has to be some kind of data-based reason for not letting a hot hand throw off your substitution patterns, especially early in the game.

I can assure you in a 2 point ball game with 8 seconds left on the clock no one is thinking about the coach's outfit.

I remember Buzz's first season lots of people admiring that he dressed up for games. That it set a "business" culture.

I'm sure we'll love how the next coach dresses too until he goes on his first losing streak.

It doesn't matter.

Whether it's suits or quarter-zips, either option is better than 60 year old men wearing baseball uniforms with pants just under the knees.

They have improved incredibly on getting into half court defensive sets from the press. I think this may be the biggest improvement this team has made from the first of the season.

Buzz was what .. 46 when A& M hired him? Don't think he was or is short on energy either . How he expends his energy is different for sure tho than Bucky. I think the "our program vs the world" concept Buzz used is part of his problem tho. It may work during the building phase but you need broader admin and fan buy in at some point. That and Buzz' offensive approach needs a major overhaul if not a complete engine replacement.

Buzz was talking about retiring immediately after we hired him.

I don't care about dress either. I will say that wearing heavy 3 piece suits... and then (inevitably) shedding it as the game wore on was more theatre to grab attn from the tv network for HIM. Related to his ego.

Him being an ego maniac wears on the fanbase after a while.
