I don't really by into the seeding conspiracy theories. To those people in the room I don't think A&M vs Texas on the basketball court is big enough of a deal that you'd manipulate the whole bracket for it.

The only conspiracy theory I'd buy a little bit about that year is that Buzz's little printout and rant the year before about getting left out didn't help us any.

Yeah I assumed it was putting Buzz in his place for daring to make a big deal of getting left out the year before.

What was our seed in Turg's first year. Would 7/8 be best seed of any first year A&M bball coach?

That 23 team had a 4-5 seed resume and got a 7. It was a screw job. Their NET was 19

That team had the nonconference resume of a team maybe not even on the NIT bubble, but the conference resume of a 2 seed. Also, if you were to somehow go back to the archives of the bracketmatrix after the last Sunday of the regular season heading into conf tourney week, I very clearly remember (and posted about it) us being the #25 team on the s-curve. I remember it because I said as last year proved, this is our final tourney resume. I still think we should've been a 6.

BTW would any of y'all be interested in a TexAgs bracket matrix? I did this once a long time ago but was thinking about bringing it back. Basically once a week everyone would submit their ranking of teams 1-68 and I'd compile the numbers, use the bracketing principles to slot in the teams, and see how we do?

When we did it way back whenever that was we actually ended up in the top third of brackets using the scoring system BracketMatrix uses.

Hell yeah! Of course, I have not had the time to fire up my model that did really well last year in the scoring system. But I need to find the time now that it is February. Hopefully some time this week I can do that.
