I dunno, I'm good without being ranked. Keeps us hungry. I'm cool with waiting a few more weeks.

I'm not. Lack of respect. It's okay for our school to get the respect they've earned.

We started conference play very far away from being considered to be ranked, we had a lot of ground to make up and teams in front of us also need to drop for us to move into the rankings. Just keep winning and will take care of itself

We're likely to have a couple of losses soon to ranked teams on the road, and we already have been winning but we know what the narrative will be once we have another loss or 2… "see, they didn't deserve to be ranked"

I think we will replace Alabama in the top 25 this week (Alabama is down 20 to Florida right now and they are number 23)

We're almost definitely going to be ranked on Monday, but to this point our wins aren't particularly impressive.

Georgia is a big one though and the Auburn one keeps getting better.

Had we pulled off that 2OT Game at Tennessee, the Aggies would probably be around 15 this Monday.

I agree. I was thinking before I read your post, if A&M had not squirreled away the UT game and FINISHED the game against SMU we would likely be ranked about 10 come Monday. Funny how much difference two games can make.

Yeah, Marcell Reed needs to work on his accuracy for us to be successful next year

Wait.....what?
Reading comprehension isn't that hard. Perhaps read my post slower.

And how little these voters actually pay attention to games of some teams not on their "blue bloods" radar.

I don't think this is it exactly. I think it's more like they don't really watch anything at all. Most of them are daily journalists, they don't have time to just sit down and watch college hoops.

There's some mild researching that goes into the preseason ranking and then from there I think most of them basically check the rankings from the week before and see how everyone did.

Since none of the teams we've beaten were ranked the week before, that's why we've been slow to climb up the ranks.

Once again why polls shouldn't come out in any sport until at least a month of games.

I disagree with this. Even if you waited a month they'd still be based on preseason expectations in large part.

Polls are fine. People just shouldn't care too much about them.

Polls have always just been something to talk about during the season. Every sport. Some do a better job of working down to being meaningful (baseball and lesser, basketball). Some are never all that good (football). Before the internet, it was to sell copy. Now, it's to sell clicks. Same deal.
