Curious sequence when the refs overturned the out of bounds call giving the ball to bama..
May have missed it, but I don't recall even seeing a replay of it. Radio guys thought Bucky might challenge it.

It wasnt a reviewed overturn. I guess another official thought he had a better view, they got together, and changed the call.

Maybe it was the right call. Honestly don't know cause the broadcast didn't think it was worth showing any replays.

I just want to see a replay. If it really was out on us, cool. But to not get a replay and then overturn it when Bama had no challenges is very frustrating.

We got hosed. We watched in slow motion.

Agee deflected ball off Bama players face.

Baseline ref correctly called Ag ball. Outside ref ran down and overruled. They handed ball to Bama and they quickly inbound before Bucky could even ask assistant with iPad if we should challenge.

Got SEC'd

When 14 is ruled ineligible Friday will the games hes played in be deemed forfeits.

They're already trying to get the hearing moved again. Plus, with it still being a Bama judge, just not a six figure booster this time, I won't be surprised if they rule in his favor again.

The bama judge recused himself from the case

It definitely was out on them, and that was huge!

The donor judge did, but the case is still being heard in Alabama.

My recollection is the official that made the initial call was on the baseline 5 feet away and his body language was emphatic. I'm not sure how he couldn't have had the best position to make the call.

He did. Outside official came in and overruled and handed ball to bama kid. And I'm sure told him to hurry up and inbound.

I knew this game would be tight from start to finish, but we fell short with a 100-97 road loss to Alabama. As a result, Alabama snapped our 4-game losing streak to drop us to 17-5 and 7-2 in SEC play. However, the 97 points we scored is the most we have ever scored in an SEC game, surpassing the 92 points each against South Carolina (home) on 1/24 and Georgia (away) on 1/31. Unfortunately, we allowed 100 points, which ties for the most allowed in an SEC game. We previously allowed 100 points in a 100-75 loss at Alabama on 2/17/2024. It's crazy how both times we allowed 100 points. were road games at Tuscaloosa. Hopefully, we will bounce back with a home win at Florida on Saturday.

Okay I don't know which page to find this, but how much time was on the clock when there (if remember correctly) were 15+ seconds on the clock when Bama inbounded the ball. I was at dinner and the refs I think gave Bama the ball with 5.1 seconds left. Looked like Buzz was all over the refs. Was it because he was arguing that Bama ran out the 10 second clock on their side of the court? If so, how could bama get the ball back?

I only watched the second half.. but I liked the minutes federico played... We really need him against giant teams like this.

Ah. Pity. I've had it so long I forget why I put certain people on the list. Quotes on threads like this make for a good reminder.

We don't need him when Vinson plays like he did tonight. He wasn't as impactful in the 2H, so understandable take if that is all you saw, but the first half was as good as Vinson has looked all year, save maybe the Texas game. Kid has a bright future if he continues to improve and learns to play with physicality.

Yes, that's what Bucky was arguing but the clock was right at 15 seconds.

It'd save me from a ban or three. I'm tempted for next football season.

Alabama - 3 fouls in the first half

Somehow that perfect team forgot how to not foul in the 2nd.

Now that I've had an hour to think about it, the result came down to two really tough shots. That absolutely crazy circus shot to out Bama up 3, and us missing the tying shot.

Irony is that if Agee was his normal self at the line we already have 3 more points and we never get to that situation to start with.

Overall I loved the way the team played. They broke the press repeatedly but Bucky never panicked. Pop and Dominguez both had off games. Vinson made a three. None of that was how we drew it up. But they never got down too much and held a lead in both halves.

Yeah, Vinson needed to be in the game. He looked amazing. Why put Federiko in for him or even Clemence. Vinson (8 minutes) and Hill (24 minutes) were insane tonight. Dibba only got 15 minutes. Made his only 3, but 0-3 on 2's. Hill and Vinson though.

Another loss like Tennessee where I feel even better about our team. Went toe to toe with a Bama that was coming off a bad loss and absolutely needed this game and we almost got it.

Except we really needed those 2 wins to make the tournament. Or am I wrong
You could not be more wrong. Like "opposite day" kind of wrong.
