KU was not the system for his game. He's not a low post player. I didn't think he had another year but if so that's great he'll be better if he does.

Bobinator mentioned it and it's true. Hard player to figure out. Hes tall, can shoot, can handle the ball. He's really soft down low at times and has a hard time holding rebounds or making layups. I think he can improve and I like his effort yesterday.

He played hard Saturday and tasted the court a couple of times.

When he slapped the floor you could tell he was fired up.

I kept looking at that forward for Florida, #10, (who is a fantastic player), and thinking that Zach needs to bulk up.

Having said that though, I don't know what that does to a player's game, or if Clemence is even interested in doing it at this point in his career.

It will be fun to see what happens with this whole program.

It's so wild. He's very good at some very hard things, and it's the simple ones where his game falls apart.

On one hand, it's easier to think of Clemence as a guard that just happens to be tall and accept that that's who he is. I don't he could post up BJ Holmes and get off a clean look. I halfway wonder if he just bail on that completely and start working on a Dirk-esque fade away.

On the other, man... if he could just pick up some some absolutely basic post skills and positional rebounding he could be an extremely good player. Put some fall pads underneath the basket and have him and Vinson spend all summer trying to dunk it on each other.

Are dunks tracked as a stat? Dunks for Clemence should be more efficient and predictable than a layup, which is where he struggles. Layups seem easy, but maybe he should attempt dunks instead. What are the team's player stats on dunks? Where can we find player stats of dunks?

Officially Clemence has attempted one dunk this season, and he's 1/1.

He's absolutely awful on close twos. He's currently shooting better from 3 (47%) than he is from 2 (41%) and even on close twos he only shoots 42%.

That one open layup he had where he went to the other side of the basket for no reason and missed sent me. I just sat there and shook my head.

I was looking on reddit and there was a post for when he transferred to us and the Kansas folks were mystified as to why he never met his potential. Multiple of them said had a bad habit of losing focus during games, and I can definitely see that happening.

He is improving though! I'll have higher hopes for him next season.
