I'm gonna have a hard time being upset about our brand-new coach's first year where he far exceeded expectations and gave us the first real hope for the future we've had in a while.

I agree. However our first 8 games were against:

LSU (3-13)
Auburn (6-9)
Oklahoma (5-11)
Tennessee (10-6)
t.u. (9-7)
Mississippi St. (5-11)
South Carolina (3-13)
Georgia (8-8)

So a total SEC record of 49-78.

I think we still make it, but I'll be disappointed if we end up not making it only because its there for the taking.
However, we also have no returning players from last year, so it would be silly to consider this season a failure in any way

Good grief. I get why people are disappointed. But come on, man. This team so significantly outperformed expectations, it's hard to rag on them.

Besides, they were pretty darned fun to watch at times.
