In the One and Done A&M Hall of Fame. There couldn't be a better guy wearing #12.

Damn right. If we get into the dance he deserves a new award. The "mule award" for carrying our asses past where no one thought was possible.

Jordan wasn't that impressive in his one year in an Aggie uniform.

Dexter Dennis would be one to consider.

Two. Was actually at school here for three.

I thought of Jalen Jones too, but him and House were both two year guys.

Duane Wilson was having a great season until he got hurt.

Technically Pharrel Payne…

I still think people kind of underrate how good Jordan was. He wasn't brilliant but he put up a stat line similar to Garcia or Coleman last year.

Someone help him change his last name to Aggie. It would be perfect.

Yeah he was mostly just decent but for a freshman playing on a team with Joseph Jones and Bryan Davis he definitely wasn't bad. Some people make it sound like he was on the court tripping over himself half the time. He did lead the team in rebounds.

He was such a detriment to the team that he basically got benched down the stretch. I'm aware of the stats. He got a lot of rebounds and I'd welcome him as a backup to Agee since our other bigs can't actually predict where the ball will go and get it. I'm still at a loss as to how bad Fed is.

That whole season had weird vibes at times with Turgeon being a first year coach with so many guys coming back from the year before. I definitely don't think him and Turgeon were seeing eye to eye. But again he was a freshman, they're going to struggle at times, especially one that isn't particularly skilled. Basically a rebounds/dunks/putbacks guy.

Again I'm not saying he was awesome, just think he was better than most people remember. I wouldn't call him "unimpressive."

Contrast with Robert Williams. The expectations were super high. He wasn't a dud but def a disappointment. Is he a top twenty Aggie post player all time?

Definitely not because he only played one season.

I'd probably argue that being on a bad team helped Williams his freshman year though. That was part of the issue with Jordan is we didn't need him to figure it out to be any good. Turgeon could just bench him. And there was obviously some weird vibes with Turgeon and the whole DeAndre situation with the coach and everything.

Anyway this is in my top five or so historic Aggie basketball takes, that he was actually a better player than people remember. Not that he was brilliant, but he wasn't a total freshman dud.

Turner played in more than 100 games and averaged 9 and 6 his senior year!

Zhuric Phelps is in the convo too if we're trying to build an all one-year team.

Impressive as an athlete. Very unimpressive as a basketball player.

I just remember him being so frustrating to watch that year, because he had no understanding of offensive basketball. It didn't help that Turgeon didn't have a good plan to use him either.

My take is Jordan and Caruso were not as good as people remember, and now we rewrite history because of what they have become. Both guys are way better pros than they ever were in college- which is extremely rare.

I think Jordan is better than people remember as a basketball player. He seemed bad because we had crazy expectations for him and he was kind of a baby about it. But from a pure numbers standpoint I think he's better than people remember.

Caruso is definitely a strange one. He was both better while he was here than people thought he was at the time and he was worse than people seem to remember him being now.

He's like a six you thought was a four when the night started but then bragged to your friends was an eight.

Watching DeAndre Jordan shoot a free throw was infuriating. The guy had no basketball skill. Just a tall guy. Still can't believe he had such a long NBA career.
