Which one plays like Bucky Ball the most? Is there a model still alive that proves proof of concept?
I resolve in 2026 to be more tolerant and respectful of trolls and emotionally fragile, overly pessimistic posters so they don’t run crying to the mods and have me banned for three days.

If this team had about 6 more inches on every backcourt player and Agee, and about 15 pounds on every front court player besides Agee, I like our odds. Overall size and length were killers.

Buckyball has a cumulative effect on the opponent. But against good teams with size and length, it didn't have the same effect because of the 1x1 disadvantages across the board

It's the difference in getting a contested shot off well, versus having to severely alter the body to have a chance, or just flat out get blocked, or pull it back down and have to pass.

Rebounding, self explanatory (after they finally grasped boxing out)

Defense, sooooo many benefits.

none fully press like Bucky but still John is the most similar and even they attack the basket more.

The offensive model isn't really unique imo. The defensive model is and requires quality depth. As far as i can recall no one has done this since Nolan Richardson and 40 minutes of hell with a high success rate in the tourney and even that wasn't exactly the same because Bucky mixes his defenses up more than Nolan did .

Our style didn't get us beat imo… lack of size/reach and physical strength did .

Lower body strength can be addressed off season. Size/reach has to be a recruiting thing and it's
Not just the bigs…. Need more size without sacrificing quickness among the guards as well.

Yeah, at the end of the day it's still the jimmy and joes, not X's and O's. Mike Anderson from Nolan Richardson tree got mizzou to the elite eight with the style, but once left to Arkansas couldn't get it done.

Most of buckys success/ failure will come down to good scouting/use of nil
