Texas is just Texas.... and that's 100% SEC country now.

Texas is Texas. Everyone else is other.

Texas is so big that it is part south east, south west, mid west, and mexico.
I'm from the part of state that is pure Dixie.
Texas was traditionally considered deep south
Historically, Missouri is considered a southern state as well.

Take out the word deep and you'd be right. Texas = the south if not a region unto itself.

Texas is not considered the Deep South

Texas is Texas. We're smack dab in the middle between the Deep south (south east) and the South West.

We are Texas.

Where you find just as many baptists as catholics.
Mexican, German,Czech, & Cowboy sprinkled with a little Tony Chacherez are the primary cultures you'll find.

Texas where Steak > > > > > > > > > > > > > > eating Road kill or rabbit food

In Texas we wear red wings or boots. Not Sperry Top siders or Berkin Stocks

Texas Where we have more brains than the South East
and more common sense than the South West.

Why would you want to pigeon hole us with any other region. We're our own damn region.

Hell, you might as well admit it's pretty damn near close to perfect.

One thing I believe we can agree on is that Texas A&M fits better culturally in the SEC than the the big 12

I'm a Southern gent. Been raised more Dixie than anythig else and damn proud of it. North Houston is my home and if a pine tree is not around I don't feel at home. Raised on grits, Sweet tea, fried chicken and a love for Jesus.

And east Texas is more deep south than it is southwest or anything close to Austin

Some people just don't get it

Texas is as Texas does.

Texas has its differences, in parts of Texas, from other southern states but all states have differences. Importantly, Texas was within the first 7 to secede. Obviously, the great state of Texas can be considered a southern state as we certainly arent central, south central west, west south central or south central
