The layout seems week. Lose the busy lightning bolt. Billboards should be simpler and non-Ags may miss the message. I-45 is great but just south of The Woodlands would get much more visibility. THIS IS SEC COUNTRY billboard is my suggestion.

It's Corps billboard not an Aggie football one.

Willis is not in the middle of nowhere. You can't even tell where Conroe ends and Willis begins anymore. It's all one big city when traveling along I-45

I noticed that today. The 1097 exit is just after the "leaving Conroe" sign, so it makes a little more sense now. I still think a little further south would get more attention. To top it off, it's on the southbound side but facing the northbound traffic.

I worked in Willis for about 6 months. Interesting place.

and previously mentioned Conroe & Willis are basically one in the same now. The urban sprawl and growth is moving north past FM 1097. In another 10 years it's going to reach New Waverly and eventually Huntsville

So does this thread... that said (typed)... if the sign gets a tenth as much attention from traffic on 45 as it has from posters on TexAgs, it's done it's job.

What a dumb thing to put on a billboard in an even dumber location.

Unless of course there are a lot BQ's in the area and they need to be reminded that we're SEC bound because only folks that are already Aggies are going to "get" that billboard. What a waste of money.

Sign looks pretty decent to me. 'Forming' referring to band formations and a storm forming at the same time, and the lightning signifies how exciting everything is I supppose. I mean, it could be a lot worse, look at Ecokat for an example. Not sure why he's sticking his tongue out like that though.

To those of y'all who think people coming from LSU are going to see this & we'll be embarrassed...take a look at a map...LSU is on I-10. There's little to no chance they'll come anywhere near piss-ant little Willis.
