Would you be happy with this for the first year in SEC?

I could handle 7-5.

I would be pleased with 7-5. I would be happy with anything north of that.

A month ago I would have said yes. Now I've drank too much Kool aid and 7-5 sounds horrible to me. Now granted that depends on who we beat and who we don't. 9 or more I would be simply happy and no ecstatic.

7-5 is bare minimum.

2 FCS schools on the schedule means that 7 is required for a bowl game.

Assuming the 4 non conference games are wins (big worry based on the last two coaches first seasons) that leaves 3 SEC games that need to be won.

Mizzou has to stumble at some point at Kyle so I'm looking for that to be one.

Ark is talented, but with the coaching situation they are ripe for the taking. Thats two wins.

That means that UF is the next most likely W because the only other home game is LSU and A&M has struggled on the road.

I could see a wins at either Miss St or Ole Miss to take the record from 7-5 to 9-3 on the season, but long odd on the 9-3.

I'm saying 8-4 is the minimum goal for the team this year. 7-5 means that everything played out as predicted. Anything less than 7 is no better then 4-8 with 2 FCS schools on the schedule. 9 or better is just cream on top.

I'd be very happy at 7-5. We've lost some critical players, new system, rookie QB...I'd be very happy to make a bowl game.

I'd definitely be pleased with 7-5 for next year. I think it would be a good start for our first year in the toughest conference in the country, and it would certainly give us something to build on. Plus, that would probably get us a bowl trip to Nashville or something.

All depends on our opener. We win that one then I think we should get to 7-5 and maybe do even better.

At this time there is no reason to assume we can beat the big 3 in the West. Now if the coaching change for the hogs causes their O to faulter than that can change. Then we have the other 3 road SEC games.

If we somehow make it to 8-4 with the coaching change, the move to the SEC and being in the West(best division at this time) and all the new players at key positions; then we know Sumlin was a great hire.

At this time I would take 7-5 with all the above hurdles listed.

7-5 with a chance to get to 8 wins with a bowl victory would be extremely positive in our first SEC season.

i'd be happy with 7-5, but know a&m teams, we'll start out 7-0 and then lose the last 5 making the season feel like a failure.

Losing to Mizzu and beating Florida according to their prediction.

If we beat Florida, we beat Mizzu.

We will win 14 games.

7-5; 3-5. Would be happy.

8-5 after minor bowl win.

Yal realize we have lost to mizzou 2 years in a row? At kyle field? When we were supposes to crush them? I would not count that as a victory just yet.

Anyone predicting 7-5 or less is stuck in Fran and Sherman world.

Move on folks. This is a different bunch.

New Conference. New Coach and staff. New System(offense and defense). New Starting QB. New AD(like this has anything to do with it).

7-5 would be a step in the right direction and a good first season in the SEC.
8-4 would be bad*$$ for recruiting and cotton bowl bound.
9-3 someone call my dad he just had a heart attack.
