Yeah but it's still Arkansas. I'd rather live in the RGV than with those buck tooth morons.

You've clearly never been to that part of AR...it's like half Texans up there anyways...

I actually lived there for a year and hated it. I met very few texans and the first week I was there got a notice on my door about a KKK meeting. I also missed a lot of things about texas that you couldn't get in Arkansas.

The world's largest corporation is Royal Dutch Shell, followed closely by Exxon Mobil, you dumbass.

Depends on the year and what metric you use.
Well since this is the year 2012 I will use the 2012 rankings by CNN Money, you gap toothed arkie dipsheet:

^ you do have it nice up there in the bentonville, springdale, rogers, fayetteville stretch.

Its not too bad if you like small town life, hunting, fishing, etc. I work a white collar job, and I'm 40 minutes from my deer stand in the fall, in the middle of nowhere. I don't have to pay for the privilege, either. West Texas has bigger deer, when it rains a little.

A little further out, you can hunt elk. A little further than that, trout fishing. I like to fly-fish, although most around here use spinnerbaits. At least you can keep some of what you catch, unlike some western states where there are very low limits.

I just realized RGV is Rio Grande Valley, right?

I've been to the valley a few times. Would not be a bad place to wait out the winter in an RV.

^ yeah, have plenty of family in those parts...love visiting...like a mini-Colorado. Plus, the forests are some of the densest in the country. I should be inheriting a few acres up there in time and would love to put up a little hunting cabin.

That's not very nice.

So I guess Wal-Mart is the third-largest. Oh no...

As oil demand and revenues fluctuate, those rankings change pretty quickly. As recently as 5-6 years ago, Wal-Mart was #1. Same diff. Big $$, small town, billionaire philanthropy.

As recently as 5-6 years ago your coach was Houston Dale Nutt. That has little to do with this year though

Come on now....

This is about Wal-Mart jokes.

Cool story. I've lived in Fayetteville for 11 years of my life and I don't know anybody who has gotten a KKK flyer on their door. We even let the gays have a parade, their own bars downtown, and everything.

Nothing racist like that would happen in Vidor or Athens or College Station, of course.

Bentonville sucks, I guess... http://www.businessinsider.com/up-and-coming-cities-2012-6#bentonville-ar-will-thrive-as-home-to-one-of-the-biggest-companies-in-the-us-10

I'm glad I live in quaint little ole Fayetteville.

Yeah, I'm kinda wondering what kinds of things they sell in Texas that you "can't get in Arkansas"?

I spent 5 years in Texas and I can't think of anything.

We have the same stores and restaurants as anywhere in the U.S. We were missng Cabela's but there's one opening in Rogers in August, (which I am probably a little too excited about).

I guess we don't have Whataburger. That's a project for someone to undertake...Whataburger in NWA.
