I had previously read that our 2013 game against new permanent rival, South Carolina, would be our first. While browsing through our all-time opponents, I see that we haven't played Vanderbilt either. Does anyone have an idea when we'll first play them? I wouldn't mind taking a trip to Nashville, and getting to watch my Ags BTHO the commodores while i'm there.
I'll be digging, but I figured maybe y'all had already discussed this before so I was hoping someone could give me a basic shakedown of how often we'll see those East guys. I also don't want the gators having scoreboard at Kyle for too long. I'm ready to get em back in here and get the W

2012 - Florida, Missouri
2013 - South Carolina, ? (@Florida?)
2014- South Carolina, ?

We won't play at Florida next year.

Pretty sure the 6-year rotating schedule will start next year with us playing at Missouri (as reciprocation for them coming here 3 straight years) and then playing one of the other East teams besides SC each year until we've played them all at which time the schedule will repeat with us hosting Missouri and flipping the home/away with the other 5 East schools.

They don't want to do a traditional home-away between the 1 non-traditional East/west game because it would take too long to cycle through all the teams.

Many seem to think we'll go to a 9 game schedule when the SEC Network launches in 2014.

Dint they say the new rotating schedule would start 2014.

Were just gonna flip the Home/Away schedule next year and then 2014 comes the permanent yearly schedule..

Almost positive this was a one year schedule

Edit: perfect example, we won't have a 4 home/2 away split next year with division opponents. It will be 3/3 moving forward.

Thanks for the insight. I couldn't find much out there on the interwebs, but what I did find backed up your statement that we won't be playing home-away on a rotating basis (ie, possibly 10-11 years between seeing opponents, outside of conference championship). I kinda like the play all 6 in consecutive years (SC every year) and then flip home teams the next 6 years. I couldn't find much on the possible 9-game schedules, either. So for now I'll operate under the assumption that we'll play 4 non-conf, 6 division games, South Carolina, and 1 East opponent.

The 2012 schedule is not based on any other previous or future scheduling formats. The SEC Athletics Directors will convene in Spring 2012 to begin formulating scheduling principles for the 2013 season and beyond.

Just read on the Premium board and someone posted a link to an SEC article saying that there were rumors we'd be playing @Vanderbilt in 2013. Nothing confirmed.
