I'm sorry, but the big, bad, mighty SEC is a much more obnoxious, cumulative culture than even t.u. in its arrogance after having won the last several titles.

The arrogant SEC culture on our board is pathetic, and I'm sure several people on the board have furthered the stereotype that Aggies are jackasses to other fan bases.

I'm hoping Alabama loses to Notre Dame too, and I can't stand Notre Dame.

I'm glad LSU and FL lost, but only because we can jump them in the rankings. Not because of your trashy reasoning.

Happy about the LSU loss. 50/50 on Florida because Spurrier taught me to hate them.

I'm an old school Bama fan (as in Bear Bryant era) so I'm not set on being 100% pro-Team SEC all of the time.

I want bama to win just so we're the only L on their schedule. It doesn't matter what ranking anyone in the SEC starts out with. We still have to win every game to get to the SEC championship.

I was rooting for LSU to pull there's out, but Clemson deserved to win that game. Florida is a different story though, I can bring the hate for the Gaytors. Part of it comes from the fact that my good for nothing, vagrant of a brother in law is a UF dropout and passionate t short fan, who called me 3 times immediately after the Florida game. Also Muschamp is a ***** and I gained a dislike for that team watching them play us. It was very vindicating them get embarrassed by a Big East team. Then when Elam told reporters Bridgewater was better than JFH I couldn't help but laugh. Speaking of Florida safetys I was pretty surprised to see the dude Malena murdered playing, or able to not live his life in constant fear after what happened.

I agree with OP. I was glad each of those teams lost, mainly because I have a personal distaste for them. But the arrogance of the SEC makes people hate us. Most of the SEC thinks they can just waltz into a bowl and be assured a win. The other teams play their hearts out, and deserve a big win, like it's their Super Bowl.

The BAS in me thinks pollsters will hold a grudge about ranking SEC teams so high. Hopefully, that won't hurt us in our run for the mnc. I can just see us being undefeated and ranked #3 and on the cusp of a title.

I have to admit that it was amusing to watch LSU and Florida lose, knowing that there is a sizable contingent of insecure Aggies who need the SEC to win to feel complete. Not that I actively rooted against the SEC, mind you, but I did enjoy seeing Clemson pull out a close one, and loved watching UF implode. I'll still root for Bama since I hate ND more. But, if A&M is ranked higher than everyone but Bama and perhaps UGa at the end of the year, that would be just fine.

Of course we should not want them to win. Do you really want every little football player to grow up wanting to go to LSU or Florida.

Because they were the only ones that beat us, I thought it would be better for our ranking if they won. Yes, maybe we could jump them in the final rankings.

Florida got what they deserved. Stupid penalty after penalty for crap like throwing punches......no discipline.....and I don't think they really cared to win as much as Louisville. Louisville couldn't even run the ball on them and still won.

I was more than amused to watch UF and LSU lose...both lost in the manner in which they deserved, actually...

however, UF looks to be the "next" LSU; they are very young, have a relative novice at the helm that makes some real boneheaded calls.....

1. LSU and FL losing was good for us if we take advantage. We can pick up the SEC banner and possibly finish as the #2 SEC team and top 5 nationally.

2. A lot of the SEC talk here is probably a reflection of what we've had to endure the last couple of years- so now that we're part of it and excelling, we're going to tout how good it is and throw it in the faces of the other conferences who said we'd get killed. (better to argue that it is a great conference and we STILL excelled, than claim it was just over-rated).

3. The SEC is doing fine if Ags and Bama win, and I think they will. In fact, it will probably have its best finish in a long time as far as teams in top 10/top 20.

But only because I picked Clemson and Louisville to cover in my bowl picks... It was bitter sweet because I want the SEC to win.

I definitely want Alabama to win since we beat them... makes us look better.

The perception of SEC domination, be it real or not, only helps your in state recruiting, does it not? It is one of the biggest recruiting differentiations that you have over all the others schools in Texas. I think that A&M will prosper due to it and I think that it is in your best interest to embrace it.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but I think that A&M is going to be a beast and give Bama more than it wants for the foreseeable future. I’m loving it and only wish that Tennessee had the same certainty.
