Pretty sure Vanderbilt is gold and black Baylor. Kidding, but don't expect us not to make fun of them in athletIcs.

And actually, Baylor is pretty well integrated in Texas / Big 12 culture as well.

Vanderbilt is not like Baylor. Vanderbilt's academics are MILES better than Baylor's.

Between beating Bama and raping the B12 Champ in the CB, most seem to like having us a lot.

Now most of them don't seem sold on MU and would rather have gone after FSU or WVU

Vanderbilt is indeed competitive academically, but Baylor definitely has the edge as far as hot women. And Baylor is actually considered a pretty good value in terms of private schools. Their alum do fine.

That is good news. We love to be hated! Can't be any worse than the hatred we endured from tu, Tech, Baylor et al.

I can believe it. It is all about the idea of "paying your dues". And to them it looks like we aren't going to be paying very many and that it also seems that they will never get to stop.

I grew up in LSU country, trust me, the SEC laughs at Vandy.

There's only one SEC person I know that has said anything bad and has literally stopped talking to me and he's a Bama grad. The last thing he said to me was "Now I'm going to have to see that bull**** botched play turned touchdown on ESPN all the ****ing time."

Everyone else has been really nice.

LSU fan here. I can tell you from our fan base' perspective, the most annoying group in the SEC is, without a doubt, Arkansas. (Though I know some Arkansas fans personally, and while i think they have terrible little-brother syndrome, they're good people). To be honest, I think a lot of SEC fans assumed you would be bottom feeders for a number of years, and generally overlooked y'all entirely. After you smacked Bama in the mouth this year, however, I think SEC fans are currently more concerned than annoyed. Just my two cents.

We were at Disney in November and many, many SEC people - especially the Bama people, made a point of coming to us and talking about the Ags. They really liked to talk about Johnny Football.

Even Mickey Mouse "told" us he (in pantomime) was a Bama fan, but gave us the thumbs up when he saw my husband's A&M cap.

The only negative remarks we got were from a handful of obvious tu t-shirt fans.

Then driving up through Georgia, NC, SC, and Kentucky, we got lots of postive comments and again, everyone wanted to talk about Johnny Football.

Alot of people saying they couldn't wait to come to Kyle Field and experience a game here.

If they like us we must be losing. I say let them hate!

My experience with SEC fans from other schools across our conference has been incredibly positive.

A 180 from the big xii. The fans in our new conference are generally really cool.

Here's a good response:

"First, I want to congratulate on speaking with everyone in the SEC- that is an amazing feat!"

"Secondly, there are so many I've met that say otherwise. Maybe they just changed their minds."

It's been very positive out here. Beginning last spring, before we were officially in the SEC, our club was invited to their combined happy hours. We've got alums from most of the schools and its been a lot of fun. They suspend the joint meetings once the season started. But they are about to begin again. LSU is having their crawfish boil this month and I'm looking forward to it. So glad we left Big idiots.

Everyone I have talked to from various SEC schools seems to like us there. Especially those that have come to games at Kyle, they all appreciate our fans.

Try not using words like totes.

If Vandy fans hate us now wait till after Oct 26th.

I think their will be quite a lot of envy going on. We came in our first year a opened s lot of eyes. Now we will have a great new stadium to go along with our natural recruiting advantages.

I don't necessarily agree. I believe the same cream will continue to rise. Some schools may have brief moments, but the schools with more resources will be the ones more consistently at the top. A&M is one of those schools. We have inherent advantages over most the sec, and are at worst on even grounds with any others.

Living in Tennessee [this area is Alabama country] and interacting with several SEC alums and supporters [mostly Alabama supporters], I have not heard a negative comment about us joining the SEC. I have heard a lot of negative comments about us beating their school [Alabama], but no negative comments about us or about us joining the SEC.

Many are glad about the expansion [they consider the move a refreshing and productive change]. Most people I have interacted with are very positive the Aggies have merged with the SEC. They [even diehard Bama fans] have been ecstatic about Johnny Football. I don’t think I have had a recent conversation with any SEC supporter about the Aggies and the SEC, that they have not mentioned Johnny Football. They are extremely impressed with Johnny Football. Bama fans still can’t believe what he did to their team, but since they still won the National Championship, they try to ignore the loss to the Aggies and what Johnny Football did to them.

The best thing about living in Alabama country and hearing them brag about their National Championship, is always proudly mentioning to them they lost to my Aggies. They don’t like to be reminded of that fact.
