Supposedly Bama can give these academic scholarships out to legacy players, who then don't count against the 85 limit till they play.

Seems like they are using this as a tool to circumvent scholarship limits.

This looks like the old FFA scholarships in Nebraska. This helped Dr. Tom with walk on program.

They also are not subject to normal academic admission standards.

Which, of course, is very convenient.

We have a Bear Bryant scholarship established at A&Mby Paul Jr. I am sure these two programs mirror one another, since they both passed the smell test by the NCAA and the IRS.I personally know of one of the Bears former players at A&M whose six children and a few grandchildren have have received financial aid from this fund,none of them were athletes and all had to meet admission standards. If anyone can attest to knowing any athlete that benefited from these scholarship funds and was not blood related to a former Bear Bryant player at either A&M or Alabama so state state on this board and I will apologize otherwise take your agitating,bellyaching and ignorance and stick it where the sun dont shine!
