Any info for tailgating in Fayetville would be helpful
When should I get there?
Where should I set up?
What is allowed?
How do we get a spot.. Permit? Free for all?

Thanks

Will try to help..

A great many of the lots right at the stadium are reserved for donors/etc.

Note I said lots. Parking is broken up in 300-400 car lots all over campus. Given the hilly terrain it almost has to be that way.

There is open parking along razorback road, and at Baum stadium (appx 200 yards south of Razorback rd).

A bus shuttle runs tween Baum and the drop off at Razorback stadium, but ignore it. Just a good loosen the legs walk to the stadium and is a late faster.

As for tailgating/RV parking/etc... someone hot-link the following url..

Sorry I could not help with more in-depth info.

If you are looking to set up a tent, but not park by it, the Gardens is open and free. Its a couple hundred yards south of the stadium, near Bud Walton Arena. Just south of Leroy Pond Drive.

There are some reserved spots in The Gardens, but they are marked.

You can set up tents at 5pm Friday.

If you don't have to tailgate, and you aren't with small children or old folks, a good option is to park in a municipal lot near Dickson St and West Ave. You can "tailgate" at the bars and restaurants there, and walk over the hill to the stadium. The max you will pay for parking all day there is $5.00. Most games if I leave and not drink the rest of the day, I get out for $3.00. This will save you $15.00 in parking, and after the game you can already be back in the bar district. This is actually a much easier walk to the stadium than from Baum Stadium.

Be warned, however. This is a hike. Its not an easy stroll. The route you want to take is to walk up Dickson towards campus. At Arkansas Ave, walk onto Old Main lawn through the old gateway and head toward Old Main. Follow sidewalks and other people walking due west and you'll come down the other side of the hill near the stadium.

Don't walk straight up Dickson, because its really steep. I guess you could, but its a *****. And you will have to criss cross your way to the stadium. Find Old Main (twin towers, historic building) and the stadium sits behind it about 200 yards.

Curious, is it reasonable to walk / stumble from the hotels at MLK and the interstate to the stadium / bar area?

Yeah, MLK is walking/stumbling distance. Its just a generic fast food/Starbucks area, with decent sidewalks. Our MLK isn't a "real MLK". It was called "6th St" until about four years ago when the city council felt it needed to find a new venue in which to be PC.

The people who run this page are eager to help people with questions about tailgating in The Gardens on campus: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Gardens-at-the-University-of-Arkansas/59183583164

And if you want to high roll it, Victory Village will do set up and tear down for you. A lot of visiting schools have their alumni association in these areas. Its hillside tailgating, really close to the field, and you can see down into the stadium. Kinda cool.

We are trying to figure out what is allowed as far a drinking on campus? I've seen that public display is not allowed. Does this mean that the beer or alcohol can be poured into a cup (like at Ole Miss) to be consumed? Or is it pointless to even bring it on campus?

We would like to take a small cooler and walk around campus to site see, but we don't want anything to be confiscated, or for us to get in trouble.

Thanks for any help!

Yes, cups are preferred, but I have never had a problem walking abour with a beer in a coozie.

You should not have a problem with any cops or security.
