The barn LSU fan is referring to was our old basketball arena. I was at that game. The legend is the fire was started by an LSU tailgate. Who knows? We rarely played LSU until after the first conference expansion put us in the same division. We've had some incredible games since. Hope we have another one Saturday. I was watching the Auburn-Mississippi State game Saturday with my big time LSU fan brother-in-law. I mentioned that we took my daughter to Auburn this summer for Junior High Vet Camp and that I really liked what I saw at Auburn, pretty campus, blah, blah, blah.

He shocked me when he said, "Where is Auburn, in Georgia?".

I'm talking about someone that has been a big time LSU/SEC fan for at least 15 yrs.

I told him it was in Alabama, near the Georgia border. I was pretty surprised by that conversation. Maybe I'm the exception but I know where all the schools are in most of the major conferences just by reading the game clips in the Sunday paper.

I think he may have only been to LSU home games which would partially explain it.

No big deal, it just caught me by surprise.
