Y'all picked a good game. The LSU-Auburn game is always a fun game, with lots of drama. Enjoy New Orleans, then head to BR early. Kick-off is 6:45, so you should get there by 10 or 11 a.m. If you've never been to BR or to an LSU game, get off at the Highland Road exit so that you can get to campus from the prettier side.
Park as close as you possibly can to the gates. Tip: When you enter from the South gates, several blocks on the left - can't tell you the building name - but look on the left for some guys standing in front of a big parking lot. It's near the Ag center. Anyway, you can park there for $40. It's got lots of spaces and port o lets. It's SO worth the money because it's right there on campus, in the middle of everything. I recommend paying that and saving yourself the hassle.
When you get there, just walk around the campus. The tailgating is everywhere. If you make eye-contact with anyone tailgating and let them know that y'all are newbies from A&M, you will be invited to eat and drink and partake of elaborate drinking games. Beer pong is the game of choice at these tailgates (lol).
The band and team march down Victory Hill about two hours before kick-off. Ask someone what time exactly. But that shouldn't be missed.
Major tailgating takes place near the amphitheater, Indian Mounds, that general area. Near stadium. Check out Mike the Tiger in his habitat, next to the "P-MAC" (Pete Maravich Assembly Center) and across from Tiger Stadium.
Get to your seat to watch the Tiger band's pre-game show. Everyone - even opponents - love pre-game.
Expect to be entertained by the game and by the fans. Even if you're not sitting in the student section, you'll be able to experience the thrill and nuttiness of Saturday night in Death Valley. Have fun and Geaux Tigers!
