Maybe its not pertinent question right now because in his mind the job is so clearly Quinn's. But, to say he doesn't even know what the question is isn't true.
A more proper response imo would be something like "this isn't something that's on my radar right now with the confidence we have in our starter. So I haven't put much thought into that."
