The Bryan-College Station Regional opens on Saturday afternoon as the Fightin' Texas Aggies host the Oregon Ducks with a ticket to Omaha up for grabs.

Texas A&M reliever Evan Aschenbeck has been named one of 10 finalists for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, which recognizes the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I Baseball.
In 26 appearances, 6-1 record, 1.64 ERA, 0.83 WHIP (both of which lead the nation), and an SEC-best seven saves.
Soccer
The Kyle Field gridiron has been replaced by a soccer pitch as Mexico and Brazil will play an international friendly on Saturday evening in Aggieland at 7:30 p.m.
The Texas A&M soccer team bolstered its attack with the addition of transfer Allison Lowrey, a forward who spent the last four seasons at Rutgers, head coach G Guerrieri announced.
Lowrey arrives in Aggieland as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining. She appeared in 80 games, 41 starts and tallied 57 points for her career with 21 goals and 15 assists.
Men’s Golf
Phichaksn Maichon and Daniel Rodrigues garnered PING Division I All-America Team recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America.
