I was at the game, and I sat in section 12 in the scorching heat. It was great to watch us rally from a 6-3 deficit in the top of the 2nd inning to defeat Oregon 10-6 in Game 1 to take a 1-0 lead in the Bryan-College Station Super Regional. One win away from Omaha!

I was coaching baseball all day, but followed the game on Stat Broadcast and was aware of the Braden injury (which was awful).
Let me just say, reading through game threads (and especially games like this) while knowing the outcome is one of my favorite past times.

For those who were there, was it hot? Compare it to 2013 football opening game against Rice.
Wasn't at the game. But I live here.
Don't know what the 2013 football opener felt like, but I have never felt a fall day as muggy as June is right now. Yesterday was hot (though temps last week were worse) and humid as hell. Football heat here is a lot of hot and not near as humid- just beat you down make you want to cry heat. June baseball heat makes you shed 15 lbs in sweat and think you can't breathe.

That football game was probably the most miserable thing I have ever experienced. And I was there for all the OTs. It was HOT. And I guess it was pretty humid, but it was a beat you down kind of heat on the 3rd deck where I was. We even brought in frozen gallons of water, but they were completely melted and hot pretty quickly. I remember medical staff pulling people out of the stands as they went down. I still think it's more humid now than it was then, but the temp is lower. "Real feel" was probably similar.
The best and worst part about sitting 3rd deck in the zone was the rain right after the game ended. It was miserable.
