It's crazy how much run this story is getting nationwide, college baseball usually doesn't get that much visibility.

Honestly, his sin was attacking a journalist. It pissed other sports journalists off. It is the only reason Schloss apologized for it IMO.

They can control the story in the Texas media but they can't control all the SEC media. Some in the SEC were even calling them out for announcing the firing of their coach before our game. In the past the Texas media would have gaslit us about how that was nothing to be upset about.

Yup if Zane had not asked that question the only headline would've been texas hiring our coach. They don't give a **** about A&M being wronged, coaches lie and leave all the time, hell Schloss lied about coming here in the first place

People don't like frauds but let's face it, so much of what happens in public life is scripted. Lossnagle let the mask slip and pretty much lit his reputation on fire.

Blame TAMU leadership for basically having no journalism degree program for the past, what, 15-20 years? And only a small program before that. Bad decision by TAMU in my opinion.

Yes. The Journalism major was shuttered in 2004 when it was folded into the communication department. It was revived in 2023. The whole fiasco with Kathleen McElroy last year was started because they wanted a big name to bring in to run the new program.annie88 said:What are you talking about? Good decision by A&M.
#1 It's a dying field. Most grads in this area will make next to nothing until (most) give up on it.
#2: You don't need to major in journalism to be a journalist, anyway.
