1. Keeps roster together. Huge bonus to keep a top roster together for a first time head coach. He may change some things, but having a talented roster that knows the operations of what just got them 2 runs from a natty is a BIG help to a first time HC. Our best chance at another Natty run and taking away the pain from Schloss.
2. Huge player endorsements, players know what good coaches look like. They know when a coaches coaching helps and hurts. They know when a coach knows what he's talking about. They know when they can trust a coach. I would not take the massive player endorsements lightly and they are coming out in waves right now.
3. Significant blow to Schloss, I'm sure there are things Schloss already has in mind to negatively recruit against A&M and Earley if he's hired. But Keeping this roster together would have a serious impact on preventing Schloss from dominating recruiting in Texas if we are beating him on the field. Earley is also a top assistant that knows how Schloss operates, which will be hard to replace. Cain also gets to watch Earley get a top HC job after just helping Schloss try to torch our program.
4. More loyalty, giving an assistant their first HC job buys you more loyalty than money can. They understand you are taking a chance on them and you are launching their career to new heights... We just had a HC leave after 3 years and within 24 hrs of a natty. Loyalty matters.
5. first hand experience of A&M, he's been here. He knows people in our athletics department, he knows the teams in our conference, he knows what to expect on the road, he knows what to expect at Blue Bell.
6.College coaching is now a young man's game. Nick Saban has already said something to this extent.Tony Vitello is 45. The College Sports schedule and recruiting is more rigorous than ever before.
7. His pitching coach would be the most important assistant for him most likely, he's been our hitting coach. He'll need a great pitching coach and to really dive into that as elite HC's need to understand all parts of the game.
8. Ratlin Bog, very good chance he's been practicing his Ratlin Bog at home this season and was preparing to bust it out next season. Only one way to know.
