Not sure why Weiner is idolized. With a healthy Ryan Prager and Ashenbeck transferring in, that is enough to cut your team ERA in half. The weirdo didn't even play baseball.
We can find another analytics guy if we need one. He isn't even a pitcher.

I think why so many liked what he did is he convinced players to trust their stuff and pound the zone where under Yeskie they seemed to nibble as a result BB went way down this season.

Wouldn't the assistant coaches all assume they were likely to be replaced when we hired a new head coach? If they were offered a job with Schlossnagle, I'm not sure I can blame them for taking it.

This board has been pretty consistently giving Earley grace from day 1 because so many knew/talked to him.
Max is rumored to be one of the ones recruiting for sip and hasn't exactly had glowing player support.
It's still to be seen how good a recruiter he is and you can't completely miss on that skill in college even if you've got a Nolan Cain in the program.

I'm guessing the head coach part was a typo, and I agree we all noticed he looked held captive. My point is that he still went and was lumped in the snake group. Then once he expressed interest to return the narrative changed immediately. What if weiner expressed interest to return? Would the narrative change about him too?
She posts a lot, but go click trouble's profile and try to find what she was saying 6/25-6/26. People talking to the team/parents figured out pretty quick who we could still trust and max wasn't on the list. He was the one showing up to player's houses with Schloss Tuesday night.

he had tweaked some analytics software while with the Mariners that did a pretty good job of projecting outcomes. We were using that through last fall and this spring to evaluate our pitchers, their pitch options, etc. Big part of the reason we changed Rudis' arm slot.
