A&M bio says he played 2 seasons at Lake Sumter State College. No more detail. Looks like he actually pitched 1 season (2016). Probably (purely a guess), he was on the team but didn't play as a freshman (redshirt or the usual - again just guessing). Here is a recent article from the Lakehawks official site showing he was a right handed pitcher for them in 2016. No stats that I could find but there is a picture. Hah. The bios and this article say he transferred to FIU but I don't see anything showing he played ball at FIU.
https://www.lakehawksports.com/sports/bsb/2023-24/releases/20240619othad3To me that doesn't matter. From the outside looking in, it seemed he did a good job this year. The results were good and a big improvement over Yeskie. Y'all can debate or speculate as to exactly why and who gets what credit. Whether it's sustainable and so forth or whatever.
He also seemed (at least with respect to what's been discussed/speculated on this board) as the most complicit in the duplicity. Schloss's right hand so to speak.in the double dealing. True or not, I do not know.
From very early on (no pun), and in spite of the one poster's mischaracterization, people on this board were saying Earley was blind-sided and the least complicit and so forth. Again, I have no idea what is actually true or not. Just saying that was the overall tenor of this board. And it didn't begin when we learned Earley had interest, it began with Schott's tweet which occurred at the beginning of the aftermath early on. Almost immediately. The one about Earley and Cain.
On the other hand, there seemed to be no support from the team, especially the pitchers, for Weiner in the aftermath. That surprised me like it did others. The reasons are for y'all to speculate (or some may have actual knowledge). I personallyI do not know. But this board's tenor was that he was a snake in this (whether fact or speculation). The players don't really seem to care about "dick joke".
