This isn't about Schloss at all. It's about getting back up when you get knocked down, and the resiliency of Aggies.
Were we really knocked down though? I think a lot of people realized that Schlongdorkle isn't the guy we really wanted leading our program and developing our kids anyway. We thought he was.....but is it really a loss when so much is revealed?Muy said:

My statement was more just in general of people on here and Twitter that have been taking the whiny victim mentality.

I don't think we were knocked down. For the first time ever I saw the national media and SEC rally around us. I found it refreshing that the narrative played out the way it did nationally.

Yes, Texas tried to take our entire staff as well as many of our top players. Thus trying to cripple us.
Other fan bases see it for what it is. I'm surprised an Aggie is not seeing it.
In the End, it appears A&M has handled this unprecedented attack as best as could be aspected.

I think the general fans weren't 'knocked down' because it was a small issue to them. The baseball crowd was definitely gutted by the whole ordeal. Losing the national championship and then being shown how much of a cluster**** the run was behind the scenes made us all hurt for our fandom and for the team.
Okay guys, the deflection over arguing that we weren't "knocked down" is utterly silly. We don't have to be so gd insecure that we can't see we as a program and fan base got blindsided and knocked down. Geezus, that wasn't the main point.

I'm talking about our baseball program.
Thats what makes it hard for me sometimes to review things on here. I'm here for A&M athletics. It's all about our sports teams the majority of the time. I focus on what's best for them and try not to waste time or energy based on the team we are playing or what the sips are doing as far as their mental games. Guess that's why I don't have BAS.
I will definitely dish out stuff to sips. But I don't waste time thinking let's take a coach to mess with them. I want a coach that will be best for our team. That's it.

The only thing that feels like we were knocked down to me was that we just had our best run ever and we didn't even get 24 hours to enjoy that success. Schloss took that from the players he said he cares about and the school he said he appreciated.
But now that we know what we know, I wish him all the disappointment and frustration he deserves for the rest of his career.

Look at who has been starting thread after thread after thread since the baseball board went nuclear on Tuesday. It's people with at least 90% of their posts on other boards. The baseball regulars have been more or less drowned out by all of the posters coming over from the Zoo and flinging sh**. We aren't the ones who melted down.
Definitely understand, the majority of posts about A&M not being knocked down are primarily football posters was my point.

Was this towards me? I haven't been melting down this week. Pissed at how Schloss let this go down, but pretty good with moving forward knowing we were in a great position to get a great replacement.

From a pure boxing analogy standpoint, I definitely felt like we were knocked down, but NOT knocked Out.
We can all agree texas planned what the beginning of this week would look like. It was NOT just about baseball. It was an opportunity to try and show up A&M...in June. Aggies expected a response. Today we are starting to see what our Response looks like. This really does mean War (from an athletic standpoint).

We got sucker punched from the back, got knocked down, but we got back up quickly and now we are back swinging.

Exactly! I only pray some Ags don't jump in and seriously start to educate us on the horror of actual war.

Its been interesting and refreshing. And I've revised my position on Tennessee. They have come out of the wood works being consolatory and supportive, and down right respectful. Has blown me away. Don't take some of the commentary so badly.
Many were blindsided.
Everyone was pissed.
Those are two facts that cannot be disputed.
The bigger deal is that what was meant to be a total dismantling of our program in an underhanded way was done by a man who couldn't keep the lid on long enough to sneak out in the middle of the night unnoticed. In addition the Austin bunch thought the media would side with them. They did not realize they would have to do damage control.
Some of what is being said is a reflection of how the narrative worked this time relative to say football and Jimbo.
Honestly, if Zane would not have asked Coach S the question on Monday after game 3, this whole week would have played out differently. Zane needs to be commended.
