Do we have a catcher I think Appel gets picked too high and I thought Kaufer was leaving regardless.
Is this the biggest need?
Our previous years of success show the importance of an older catcher.

Don't think you probably want him to be your every day catcher. Not all that great behind the dish. Good hitter though. More of a DH that can fill in to give your starter a break.

Yep. I also don't want a loud mouth D bag that's always amped up behind the plate. Give me someone who keeps it level most the time.

His effort, his aggressiveness and throws to 2nd, his .310 BA, his .992 fielding %

For most on here it was probably his bat flip but I don't give 2 ****s about that.

His style of play. He was all out and was very good on his running game management. Had strong throws to all bases and very good blocking balls in the dirt. Played with abandon as shown with his sliding catch attempt into a brick wall

Kaufer might be able to be brought back. POS really did him wrong. The kid freaking graduated early to save our behinds. Then this year rarely got playing time even in midweek games.

Appel got beat to hell all season when he totally could have rested some.

I'm not sure if he can be recovered. Kinda doubt it. But couldn't agree more with the rest of this. Guy was an on-base machine, a good to very good defensive C and coach screwed him and Appel for that matter.

Were you able to catch our game vs them? If you didn't you'd understand our attraction. Kid was a stand out that did everything not only right, but to near perfection. Was fun to watch.

His catch on a pop up when down 8 or 9 runs was as fine effort you will see. That told me all I needed to know that kid was busting his ass on that when they were getting drilled. The temperature was over a hundred on the field.
