And I'd be ok if it's Schuessler. Not sure he's an every day catcher but he's at least an option there. He has no reason to like POS (already left him once) and he can really hit.

Yes, promoted last year to recruiting coordinator. According to the link posted above, helped bring in the number 3 ranked class in 2024 and had the number 2 class of 2025 before POS took over. Also worked with the outfielders.

Of note, the prior story from this link below the one referenced here (dated June 25), makes no mention of Earley being one of the coaches on the staff that was leaving A&M for tu, only Cain and Weiner.

DCG, what makes you feel Cain was not as good of a recruiter as the guy at Texas, when you compare our roster to theirs? Hopes and dreams?

You can look at class rankings, tu vs. A&M.

And Cain was not a good third base coach. He was not decisive enough, slow to make up his mind and made too many bad decisions.

Better recruiting classes. Cain was here longer so ours are more mature. That said, we have had more success in the portal than tu so we'll need to keep that going somehow.

Point taken. Portal is also recruitment though, someone has to pitch the player to come in. Money plays a factor, but Texas has money too

Still no confirmation for Longley apparently.

sips must be working him hard. His value to tu is not just the coaching, but can also be measured by the influence he has over key members of the team. If he departs, tu runs the risk of not just losing key players, but losing those players to the good guys.

I hope he gets here, but I bet they won't let him go without a fight..
